1/72 Fujimi and Hobbyboss A-7 Corsairs

The wheelwells on the Fujimi A-7 are pretty basic and what detail there is in there is spurious;

I was going to leave it and concentrate on the build but once again the AMS (Advanced Modellers Syndrome) kicked in so the back walls of each wheel well were cleaned out and detail added;

The gear bay door retraction arms are still to be added but you get the gist of what is going into the bays.

I pulled the resin cast of the ILS antenna from the mould and it looks pretty good to me so I’ll make a few more;

The resin copy is at the bottom

After the success of the ILS panel I may make moulds of the gear bay doors as I’ve removed the moulded detail and added my own but we’ll see. It would be handy to make an update set though seeing that I have another five Fujimi A-7’s in the stash.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 50 plus years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
