The Eduard Brassin cockpit has finally been painted and fitted into the fuselage;

It does look good once installed, unfortunately the wing doesn’t fit anymore;

This is because the resin cockpit is too deep. This is a major problem as I have sanded a lot of the cockpit floor away but the wing will not fit, even sanding the lower wing didn’t help much.
What I’m looking at doing next then after having a think is to remove the Eduard cockpit and build up the kit supplied one, using bits from the Eduard to detail it. I have to say I’m pretty disappointed as this will put me back somewhat as I was hoping to fit the wings tonight and get the build finished this week.
Edit; The Eduard cockpit has now been removed and parts of it will be used for the kit supplied cockpit instead. Shame really as it wasn’t cheap…oh well, at least it won’t be a total waste;

It’s beautiful work regardless. You should be proud of your accomplishments. You try things and sometimes they don’t work. That’s pretty typical for this hobby. Great job babe
