New stuff!

When I moved out of my previous home nearly four years ago, I had a massive clear-out of kits via Evilbay. Over the course of those four years I’ve bought other kits and the amount of unbuilt ones I have now comes under the acronym S.A.B.L.E (Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectation) which means some lucky soul will have to sort it all out when I die.

Having said that there were two new arrivals for the stash this morning;

I bought the 1/72 Eduard Bf110E because (1) I made the mistake of looking at the colour options on Eduards’ website and liked the winter camo version and (2) Eduard Weekend kits are very cheap. So there! I also must give a shout-out to MJW Models for supplying it too;

Their turnaround on orders is very quick and even during a UK strike by postal workers at the moment, they still get the stuff out. Outstanding customer service and people I have been dealing with for a numbers of years with ZERO issues.

The Warhammer kit caught my eye because it looked pretty and although I initially rejected buying it because of the price, I found one online for a lot less so here it is. I’m looking forward to building and painting it as it will be a pure modelling exercise without having to do any research, a bit like the German WW2 ‘What-if’ stuff I did a few years ago.

So there you go, a stash of unbuilt kits yet I keep buying them. The other thing is I don’t really care as it gives me enjoyment and keeps my mind busy with stuff other than life in general.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 48 years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
