Italeri 1/35 M24 Chaffee

Meanwhile and back to reality, I’ve got the Italeri M24 Chaffee back on the bench;

It was sent along with some other kits from Doolittle Media as review samples for Model Military Int’l magazine. I did make a start on it months ago but I made a mess of the rear idlers by trying to put lightening holes in them and during the space of time between Italeri sending replacement parts, the project was shelved.

As I have a load of projects in various stages of construction I need to really clear some so this is the first candidate. It will still be done as an article but as well as a build review it will also show what can be done with older kits, some etch and modelling skills.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 50 plus years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
