Arma Hobby 1/72 FM-2 Wildcat

Before spraying the model I made masks for the national insignia. As I don’t have the use of a mask cutting machine, I had to do it the old-fashioned way using a compass cutter, straight edge and scalpel, using a vernier gauge to measure the circumference;

I then sprayed around the ailerons, elevators, rudder and various panel lines with Tamiya Nato Black;

I mixed some Tamiya orange with Tamiya yellow then sprayed the model overall including the wheel hubs and undercarriage;

Looking at it now, I think the colour is a little ‘too orange’ so over the weekend I’ll give it a light overspray with yellow to brighten it up, after which I can get it glossed along with the ICM OV-10A.
