ICM 1/48 O-2A (late production)

I’ve added some detail to the interior such as the obvious bits like the throttle, flaps and undercarriage levers, some rectangular box on the side of centre console of the instrument panel and the ballistic padding. Also I filled in the holes in the floor for the co-pilot’s seat as it should be further back. After painting I’ll add the seat belts and various curly leads that are found in the cockpit and I may add some wiring to the radio rack at the rear but it depends on how much you can see through the cockpit glazing especially after painting;

Slings for the M16’s were added using thin strips of masking tape, also the carrying handles were opened up as the kit parts are solid.

I don’t know exactly how the ballistic

padding would be applied to the starboard side of the interior but it works for me and apologies to any former FAC pilots that are looking in 🙂

That will probably be it for updates (apart from the odd teasers) and you will be able to read more on The Modelling News when I’ve finished building it.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 48 years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
