Thunderbirds 1/72 Mole

I’ve cast the resin inserts for the back of the wheels and glued them in place along with 6.3mm dia tube to beef up the axles;

These are not ‘professional’ by any standard but they are good enough for me and once I’ve attended to a couple of issues on the drill body, I can start cleaning it down and get it ready for painting.

Having just finished building the Italeri 1/72 T-55A I thought it would give a good comparison to show it and the Mole side by side seeing as they are both the same scale (allegedly in the case of the Mole);

Edit; Sanding the filler for the sink marks under the drill body and blanking off the rectangular hole with plastic sheet where an on/off switch used to be was quicker than I thought so the model just needs cleaning prior to painting.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 48 years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
