Italeri 1/72 T-55A

I finished this one today and hopefully it will feature in a future issue of Model Military International magazine as a full build review;

This has been my first 1/72 AFV kit in nearly 50 years and although it’s not in my usual scale, I’m pretty impressed with the model. Yes it needs some refinements such as replacing the brush guard for the headlights, grab rails on the turret and the fuel lines adding on the right fender for the fuel tanks but for 1/72 it is a pretty decent kit. The retail price is not extortionate either so if you wanted to build a few but don’t have the space then this is worth a serious look.

I've been a modelmaker for a verrry long time and still show no signs of growing out of it after 48 years. I mainly build tanks, aircraft and paint figures but generally do whatever takes my fancy whether it's historical, Science-fiction, a 'what-if' or because it has pretty colours and looks nice. I'm hoping that you find my blog interesting and useful, particularly if building a model that I have built and documented here.
